Founder & Chief AI Governor

Bruce Mullan

Bruce has over 30 years experience in technology strategy, project delivery, risk and compliance, procurement, and business analysis. He has worked at PwC in New York, led multinational ERP projects, consulted across 17 countries, and partnered with more than 40 Australian organisations to optimise their IT systems, processes, and people capability. His expertise spans the full systems lifecycle—from procurement and implementation to support and decommissioning.

Bruce's breadth and depth of experience is particularly well suited to AI governance. Effective AI governance requires integrating strategy, risk, compliance, and delivery disciplines across the entire lifecycle of an AI system—exactly the domains in which he has operated for decades.

By combining strategic insight, risk and compliance expertise, and hands‑on delivery experience, Bruce designs and implements AI governance frameworks that are both robust and operationally realistic. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Business (1997) and a Master of Information Systems (2013).

Bruce is a firm believer that AI governance should prevent headlines and not create them.

Dr Darryl Carlton

Dr Daryl Carlton is Australia's most trusted AI governance expert.

With over 45 years in IT leadership and deep expertise in AI governance, his proven frameworks have guided 250+ organisations through successful AI governance implementation.

His books include Garbage In, Gospel Out - The Practitioner's Workbook for Transforming AI Governance, Cybersecurity Governance, AI Governance, Governing AI in Australia, How the F*ck Did This Happen and AI Digest Volumes 1 &2.

"Garbage In, Gospel Out" (GIGO) is a phrase describing the dangerous tendency to treat artificial intelligence outputs as unquestionable truth ("gospel") regardless of the accuracy, quality, or biases of the initial input data ("garbage").

Dr Carlton's second PhD (Law) focuses on preventing contract failures he's experienced firsthand. Every framework he creates protects others from preventable failures.

From his home base in France, with his loyal companion Simba, he continues to share his insights all over the world.
